Push processing for the first time today… so maths involved for the correct chemical solutions. And they say ‘photography is just a click of a button on a camera’…. pfft, that’s only one step! Scared of the results now….

Still carrying on……

In search of a burnt down school on Essex Road, Preston…
Wanted to investigate what other course mates have seen and discovered.
Was hoping to do part of a project inside the old school, but discovered it was not only to small but too dangerous… but was really cool to finally see it.

Week 7 - Day 47
Walking past this shop’s window with a fully dressed up manikin definitely gave me a frightful surprise, especially in the dark (when I went out with Toria for another outdoor shoot), as I easily mistaken it as an actual person as most people do. FINAL PROJECT REVIEW & ANALYSIS
Today is my last post for the “Everyday, Every Day” Project. For this week’s theme, to me personally has been the most challenging out of all the other themes set, because I did not want to go for the obvious surprised expressions from people, but also wanted to capture surprise events or something of what I came across was personally surprising to me.
Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed pushing myself to capturing a photo everyday and by  doing this, has helped me develop further ideas towards my projects - whether they were personal or towards University projects.
In addition, by capturing everyday, I feel I can adjust to most suitable settings on the camera more naturally now for almost any situation, which was a small problem I faced before - I had a bad habit taking my time, taking multiple snapshots, adjusting settings every time, before capturing a ‘proper’ photo.
Despite it being the last official day for the deadline, I think I will be continuing blogging at least one photo a day, as I think it would be a waste not to share the photos I often take and also to improve my skills further.

Week 7 - Day 46

I could not decide between on picking between these two particular images I shot today during a long walk, with another course mate in search for more material for our projects.

The first image was an unfortunate surprise to see three pigeons dead from being stuck on the wired netting, pinned inside the frame of an empty window of this abandoned old shop.

In contrast to the second image, I and other members of the public were surprised to see a bin butt literally smoking. According to a street promoter the bin butt had been ‘smoking’ for about half an hour by the time we saw it.

Week 7 - Day 45
Some of my flatmates are getting used to the idea of being photographed by me whenever, yet there are still a few that still find it surprising to see me photographing them unexpectedly.

Week 7 - Day 44

Today’s surprise was the unexpected snow occurring  throughout the day. It had started off as bright sunshine, then nearer to lunch time, the wind had picked up and all the skies were black and then the snow was trapped with the wind making it even harsher to walk in the weather. Then when it stopped, it was bright sunshine again. It was also a surprise as we don’t often see snow in March!

Week 7 - Day 43

Seeing a “Taunton Street” sign in Liverpool was a BIG surprise for me, as Taunton is a nearby town of where I used to live many years ago in a smaller town called Langport, in Somerset. It was also a BIG coincidence as my friend who I was visiting over the weekend is from Somerset herself!

Week 6 - Day 42

[Photo taken with Lumix TZ20 digital camera]

I went to Liverpool this weekend to celebrate a close friend’s 20th and  I knew it was a bit of a cliche, but also thought it was a perfect opportunity to surprise the birthday girl with a large lemon muffin cake we got her whilst she went out for a cigarette.

I included three images  in order to show a movement between the images.

Week 6 - Day 41
My friend here received a shock when she received a picture message from her Dad which was captioned, “My Birthday meal”, of which made her realise she had totally forgotten her Dad’s birthday today.
